Alan founded Scher Group in 2005 with a conviction that ambitious business owners deserve a different kind of accounting relationship — one built on strategic partnership, executive perspective, and the discipline of a full financial department.

With more than 30 years of accounting and tax experience, Alan has spent his career serving closely held businesses — physicians and dentists building modern practices, engineers and consultants scaling into new markets, and real estate investors structuring for long-term wealth.

A graduate of the University of Delaware, Alan earned his Master's in Accounting and Taxation from the University of Colorado Boulder — where his passion for helping Colorado business owners make sharper, more confident decisions took root.
